About Me

Hello everyone. My name is "A.J" Marriot. I am the author of two books, which cover the early stage appearances of both Stan Laurel and Charlie Chaplin. I was delighted therefore to learn of the 'Zanettos,' and their joint shows with these two when touring with the Karno Company, in American vaudeville.

I was pleased to exchange info.with Jane from those 1910-1914 Vaudeville days, and delighted to attend the talk given by Karen and Jane at the British Music Hall Society. The amount and quality of material, and the presentation was a joy to behold.

I hope the collection continues to grow and grow. It is a legacy for future generations of all Zanettos descendants.

Have fun!

"A.J"

I am the grand daughter of Pip Bale. The daughter of Leslie George and Constance Maud Perry. I remember my grandfather as a kind man, although I  can't quite rember my grandmother Lillian. i did visit them in Spencer Park, during WWII. I remember Pip shelling chestnuts for me with a small penknife he kept in his pocket. He was such a kind man.

I am the youngest child of Leslie George.

Thank you Jane for all the research work you have put into this history. I shall forever be grateful to you and to my other two cousins.. I'd love to hear from other Bales.

About Me

I am the great grand daughter of George Bale. My Nana, Marjorie Cotton married his son George Raymond during the War. They had 2 children Jacqueline Carole (my Mum) and Tony, but sadly he died when my Mum was 7 and Tony was 2 years old. My Nan lost touch with George's family and it was only in 2006 when I started family tree research I discovered what an exciting history we come from!
